The Playa Chica beach is the most southern beach of Europe's mainland and the last beach of the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated opposite of the Isla La Paloma and next to the entrance of the port of Tarifa.

When the wind comes from the west (Poniente), this is the best place to sun bath and go swimming as the little bay is a bit protected from the wind.

The water is very clear here and great for diving or snorkling.

There's not enough space here for kitesurfing and windsurfing is only tolerated in the off season when there's no swimmers.
